Campus Spotlight
A crew from the History Channel visited campus July 2 to interview scientist Don Figer for the series, The Universe. They shot footage for two episodes, one on star clusters and the other on astronomical objects called pulsars and quasars. The episodes are expected to air in the fall. Figer is the director of the Rochester Imaging Detector Laboratory in the Chester F. Carson Center for Imaging Science. He was recruited through a faculty development program grant awarded by the New York State Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR). |
